DocXHelp Refund Policy

Our refund policy outlines your rights regarding cancellations and refunds, including your 14-day cooling-off period under EU Directive 2011/83/EU.

1. Nature of Service

DocXHelp is a digital service delivered entirely online. All features, tools, and content are provided electronically through our web platform. No physical goods are shipped, delivered, or otherwise provided as part of your subscription.

By subscribing to DocXHelp, you acknowledge that you are purchasing access to a digital service and that this refund policy applies to all transactions made on our platform.

2. EU/EEA 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

In accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU (the Consumer Rights Directive), consumers residing in the EU or EEA have the right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services within 14 days of the transaction date, without giving any reason.

The 14-day cooling-off period begins from the date your subscription or trial is activated and you receive access to DocXHelp.

Important: If you begin using the service before the 14-day period ends (e.g., by logging in, accessing tools, or processing documents), you expressly consent to the immediate provision of digital content and acknowledge that you forfeit your right to withdraw.

3. Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a refund if all of the following conditions are met:

  • Your refund request is submitted within 14 days of the initial purchase or the most recent subscription renewal.
  • You have not used the service during the applicable billing period (i.e., you have not logged in, accessed any tools, or processed any documents).
  • No documents have been processed using DocXHelp during the billing period for which the refund is requested.

Refund requests that do not meet all of the above criteria will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

4. Subscription & Trial Terms

4.1 Trial Period

DocXHelp offers a 24-hour trial for a one-time charge of \u20AC0.01. The trial grants full access to all DocXHelp features. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to the standard recurring plan.

4.2 Standard Subscription

After the trial period, your subscription renews automatically at \u20AC29.99 every 28 days. The subscription continues to auto-renew until you cancel.

Cancellation of your subscription stops future billing but does not automatically generate a refund for the current billing period. You will retain access to DocXHelp until the end of your current paid period.

5. Situations Where Refunds Are Not Available

Refunds will generally not be issued in the following cases:

  • You have actively used the service during the billing period (logged in, accessed tools, or processed documents).
  • The refund request is submitted more than 14 days after the applicable charge.
  • Your account has been suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms & Conditions.
  • You have previously received a refund for a prior billing period and are requesting another refund for subsequent use.
  • The charge in question is the \u20AC0.01 trial fee, as this amount is nominal and non-refundable.

6. How to Cancel

You may cancel your DocXHelp subscription at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Email: Send a cancellation request to help@docxhelp.com from the email address associated with your account. Include your full name and order reference.
  • Phone: Call our customer care line at +31 970 1020 6459 during business hours (CET).
  • Dashboard: Cancel directly from your account dashboard by navigating to Settings and selecting Cancel Subscription.

Upon cancellation, your access to DocXHelp will continue until the end of the current billing period. No further charges will be applied after cancellation takes effect.

7. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for the transaction (credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay).

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your approved refund request. The actual time for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your payment provider or financial institution.

8. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in suspension of your account and loss of access to DocXHelp.

If a chargeback is filed and subsequently reversed in our favor, we reserve the right to charge the original amount plus any chargeback fees incurred. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly through direct communication.

9. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. If you believe you are entitled to a refund that falls outside the standard eligibility criteria described above, please contact our support team. We will review each case individually and in good faith.

Exceptional circumstances may include, but are not limited to, billing errors, service outages that prevented you from using DocXHelp, or other technical issues on our end.
